Reproduction and Application of Torenia fournieri in Jingzhou Gardening

As a kind of recently developed subtropical herb flower,Torenia fournieri was studied in central China region(esp.Jingzhou City).We found the breeding was very important during its process of cultivation.The results showed that the growth of T.fournieri was good in Jingzhou,and flowers per plant reached about 147,the booming period lasted for 133 days,and the rate of yield was up to 41.89%.By investigation and assessment of plants application in some typical districts(Youyuan neighborhood,Chengnanchuntian,Xiniyingxiang,Jingzhou garden),two major streets(Jiangjin road,Beijing road) and a typical public garden green land(Shalongda square),we found there were series of problems about the plants application,such as the landscape plants and materials were out of time,landscape plants didn’t match the architectural style,and virescence didn’t keep pace with times,and so on.By the united form of survey by oneself and simulated application in some typical garden green land,we had taken feasible analysis about the application effecs and prospect of T.fournier in Jingzhou green land.T.fournieri could be introduced and used in Jingzhou in large scale.
