PLATEGA: the e-learning platform for the galician regional government

PLATEGA: PLAtaforma de TEleformacion de Galicia (Galician Tele-education Platform) is the e-learning system provided by the Education department of the Regional Government of Galicia in north west Spain. This paper presents the main functionality of this platform, outlining the most outstanding characteristics, together with the challenges found during its design and development and some data about its use by real users.
