Preparation and Clinical Evaluation of Denture Adhesive Powder

Background and purpose: From many years ago denture adhesives have been used to improve denture’s performance. During the time, many new formulations have been prepared and evaluated to improve the properties of this product. In this study, the powder form of this product was prepared then in vitro and in vivo evaluations were performed. Materials and methods: To design the denture adhesive powder, sodium alginate, plantagopsyllium mucilage and sodium carboxy methyl cellulose were used as the main binding agents.
