Elastic scattering of positive kaons on polarized protons at 1.22 and 2.48 GeV/c☆

Abstract Polarization angular distributions of K + p elastic scattering have been measured at 1.22 and 2.48 GeV/ c . Over the measured range of − t the polarization is generally large and positive. The data at 1.22 GeV/ c resolve an ambiguity in a recently published phase-shift analysis, favouring the solution which requires no resonance in the K + p system.
