Representaciones visuales de metáforas y metonimias de la temperatura en secadores de pelo

espanolLa mayoria de los estudios sobre la metafora conceptual se han enfocado en el lenguaje verbal, pero aun queda mucho por investigar sobre sus manifestaciones no verbales. El presente trabajo lleva a cabo una aproximacion sobre los elementos iconograficos de secadores de pelo desde una perspectiva de la linguistica cognitiva. Se ha formulado, en primer lugar, la hipotesis de que estos elementos no son disenos casuales, sino vinculados a la cognicion humana. Hemos basado el estudio en las propuestas de Lakoff y Johnson (1991, 1999), sobre la metafora conceptual y la metonimia, asi como en el enfoque visual y multimodal de Forceville (1994, 2008). Siguiendo una metodologia cualitativa, analizaremos, a base de la imagen de 105 secadores, las metaforas y metonimias subyacentes a las iconografias de este pequeno electrodomestico, la motivacion cognitiva en que se fundamentan, sus funciones comunicativas, asi como la conexion entre el lenguaje verbal y el no verbal acerca del concepto de temperatura. El estudio encaja en el paradigma de la linguistica cognitiva, contribuyendo al reforzamiento de la teoria, sin olvidar que nos permite conocer la concepcion humana respecto a la temperatura. EnglishMost of the researches about conceptual metaphor have focused on verbal language, but its nonverbal manifestations remain to be investigated. This paper studies the iconographic elements of hair dryers from a perspective of cognitive linguistics. To this end, we firstly formulate the hypothesis of that these semiotic elements are not casual designs but related to the human cognition. This study is based on the cognitive theories of conceptual metaphors and metonymies of Lakoff and Johnson (1991, 1999), as well as the visual y multimodal approach of Forceville (1994, 2008). Following a qualitative methodology, we will study the visual metaphors and metonymies contained in the photos of 105 hair dryers, their cognitive foundations, as well as their communicative functions. We will also analyze the connection between the verbal and nonverbal languages about the concept of temperature. The study fits into the paradigm of cognitive linguistics, so that it will contribute to the strengthening of the theory. The study will also allow us to know the human conception of temperature.
