Analysis of Medical Device Recalls Related with Software Failure

This article collected the medical devices recalls by FDA from different literatures,and analyzed those data,it shows that about 1/3 recalls of medical devices containing software is due to software failure during 1999-2005.And ‘In vitro diagnostics' and ‘Radiology and Imaging' is about 50%～70% of those.
