Pequeño Productor y Pluriactivo. Estudio de caso con enfoque local.

El objetivo general de este trabajo es la realizacion de un estudio exploratorio de los pequenos productores agrarios riojanos (definidos por la presencia clave del trabajo familiar, la ausencia del trabajo asalariado permanente y algunas limitantes en tierra y capital) y de sus rasgos socioeconomicos relevantes, analizados entre fines del siglo XX y principio del siglo XXI. En el contexto del citado objetivo general, abordamos dos objetivos particulares referidos a respectivas dimensiones transformativas experimentadas por los PP (pequenos productores) agropecuarios de la provincia de La Rioja: Determinacion de cambios ocurridos en las posiciones absolutas y relativas de diversos estratos de los PP en variables socioeconomicas relevantes. Identificacion de algunas tendencias fundamentales asociables a esos cambios en las posiciones de los PP (Expansion, contraccion y/o persistencia de sus escalas economicas. Caracterizacion de las estrategias pluriactivas de los PP y de sus familias). Small Producers and Pluriactive ones. Case study with local approach. Abstract The general purpose of this work is to conduct an exploratory study of the small agricultural producers from La Rioja (who are characterized by family work, which is of utmost importance, lack of wage labor on a permanent basis, and some limitations on land and money). Its aim is also to study the relevant socioeconomic features, analyzed between the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century. In this context, we address two particular purposes which refer to the respective areas of transformations experienced by small producers (PP, by its initials in Spanish) in the agricultural area of the province of La Rioja. They are: establishing changes happening at the absolute and relative positions of different classes of PP in relevant socioeconomic variables and identifying some essential tendencies to be associated to those changes in the positions of the PP (expansion, contraction, and/or persistence of the economic scale, characterization of pluriactive strategies of PP and their families).
