Effects of 6-Substituted Indanoyl Isoleucine Conjugate on Volatile Components and Smoking Quality of Flue-cured Tobacco Leaves
2006
The fresh ripe tobacco leaves of K326 (Nicotiana tabacum L.) were treated with 6-substituted indanoyl isoleucine conjugate (6-SIIC), cured, determined by GC/MS and panel evaluated. It was found that 1) three volatile compounds including farnesene, santalol and tetradecanal were detected in the treated tobacco, meanwhile pentadecanal, methyl linolenate and palmitic acid obviously increased, furfural, furfuryl alcohol and neophytadiene significantly reduced comparing with untreated tobacco; and 2) the smoking quality of the treated tobacco improved a little.
