The invention relates to a method for realizing online monitoring on an energy storage cell safety state. The method comprises steps of determining the cell thermal runaway early warning temperature and carrying out cell thermal runaway early warning. According to the method, on the basis of a research on reaction of an internal material and an electrolyte, the thermal runaway early warning temperature of the cell is determined according to results of the research on the temperature generated during exothermic reaction between the internal material and the electrolyte of the cell at different attenuation phases; on the basis of the research results, a micro wireless sensor is utilized to detect the internal temperature of the cell, the internal cell temperature acquired through the sensor is compared with the corresponding early warning value, and cell thermal runaway early warning is carried out in advance.
