Process Maps and Statistics

This article describes the use of the process map in process improvement activities. A definition of a process map is provided and the construction of a map is discussed and illustrated. The article also discusses how and why process map can be an invaluable tool for the effective use of statistically designed studies and experiments for improving process operation.
