Motivo da internação, perfil nutricional, hábitos alimentares e tratamento medicamentoso de pacientes diabéticos

Introducao e Objetivo: O paciente diabetico necessita de um controle medicamentoso e nutricional adequado a fim de prevenir o surgimento das complicacoes da doenca. Este estudo, teve por objetivo, avaliar motivo de internacao, estado nutricional, habitos alimentares e tratamento medicamentoso de pacientes diabeticos. Materiais e metodos: Estudo transversal e descritivo, com pacientes adultos e idosos (n=100) diagnosticados com diabetes mellitus tipo 2 internados em um hospital de Pelotas-RS, entre agosto e setembro de 2016. Foi aplicado questionario semiestruturado com questoes sobre consumo alimentar, perfil do paciente, tempo de diagnostico, tratamento medicamentoso e motivo da internacao. Foram coletadas tambem medidas de altura, peso e circunferencia da cintura. As analises estatisticas foram feitas no Stata® com nivel de significância de 5%. Discussao: Estudos mostram a importância e o impacto de um controle adequado para os pacientes diabeticos. Resultados: Sobre motivo de internacao, a categoria mais encontrada foi “outros motivos” (37%) e em geral, os habitos e consumo alimentar no dia anterior a aplicacao dos questionarios, apresentaram-se regulares, uma vez que se referem ao consumo dentro do hospital e por pacientes que ja apresentam complicacoes associadas ao diabetes. Conclusao: Os motivos da internacao dos pacientes foram diversificados, a maioria dos idosos eram eutroficos e os adultos, apresentavam sobrepeso, e a maioria da amostra apresentava habitos alimentares regulares e fazia uso de insulina. ABSTRACT Reason for hospitalization, nutritional profile, eating habits and medication treatment of diabetic patients Introduction and objective: The diabetic patient needs adequate medication and nutritional control in order to prevent the onset of complications of the disease. This study,To assess the nutritional status, dietary habits, drug treatment and the reason for diabetic patients . Materials and methods: Cross-sectional, descriptive study with adult and elderly patients (n=100) with a diagnosis of diabetes mellitus type 2 in a hospital in Pelotas-RS. The data were collected between august and september 2016. A questionnaire was administered semi-estructure with questions about food consumption, profile of the patient, time of diagnosis, treatment and the reason for hospitalization. In addition, we collected measures of height, weight and waist circumference. Statistical analyzes were performed in Stata® with a significance level of 5%. Discussion: Studies show the importance and impact of adequate control for diabetic patients. Results: Regarding the reason for hospitalization, the most found category was "other reasons" (37%) e in general, dietary habits and consumption on the day before questionnaires, these were regular, since they refer to consumption within the hospital and by patients who already have complications associated with diabetes. Conclusion: nutritional status is linked to complications that may lead to hospitalization of this patients, furthermore, the largest deposit of fat in the circumference of the waist can collaborate to trigger diseases decompensate diabetes mellitus.
