CD4 V4 Mutation of T Cells and Its Ralative Protein Expression in 8 Cases of B Cell lymphoma

2000
Objective Detection of mutation in CD4 V4 exon and expression of proteins associated with Fas, FasL, bcl-2,CD4 and CyclinD1 in B cell lymphoma. Methods The exon V4 mutation of CD4 gene was examined on 56 cases of B cell lymphoma specimens by means of PCR-SSCP and the expression of proteins of CD3,CD4, Fas, FasL, bcl-2 and Cyclin D1 by immunohistochemistry. Results The V4 mutaion rate of CD4 gene was 14 2% (8/56). Among them, CD4, Fas, FasL expressed weak or none in both SLL and LBL; on the contrary, FL was strong; 3/4 cases of DLBL and 1 case MCL expressed both Fas and FasL strong, but CD4 not expressed. Occasionally, they express bcl-2 and /or Cyclin D1 strong too. Conclusion There are CD4 V4 mutaion in B cell lymphoma and abnormal regulators of cell cycle and death.
