[Objective]To pre-evaluate the occupational hazards of 1# coal coking project in a new developed region.[Methods]Checklist,analogy,quantitative classification and empirical method was combined to perform evaluation.[Results]The major occupational hazards in this project were toxic and harmful gases such as coke oven emissions,benzene,toluene,xylene,carbon monoxide,carbon dioxide,hydrogen sulfide,sulfur dioxide,nitric oxide,nitrogen dioxide,ammonia,hydrogen cyanide as well as high-temperature thermal radiation,dust and noise.[Conclusion]The project belongs to the construction project with serious occupational hazards.Relatively complete occupational hazard prevention facilities and measures are provided in this project,with high degree of automation.Dust,carbon monoxide and coke oven emissions may exceed the standard in workplaces,it is necessary to strengthen individual protection.
