A process for coating a multi-filament fiber

2000
A continuous process for coating a multi-filament fiber, the sizing of the fiber to be coated is removed and the fiber is moved by an electric field, whereby the filaments are spread apart, and the fiber is then coated in the expanded state, characterized by the following features: - moving the fiber takes place by the electric field, after the size is removed from the fiber; - the electric field is an electrostatic field; - the fibers are electrically non-conductive oxide continuous fibers.
