Literary review has been carried out on the basis of which the significance and use of 4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazol-5-ones derivatives has been evaluated. Furthermore, the work was focused on the catalytic utilization of optically pure 4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazol-5-ones derivatives and the transition metal-based coordinating and organometallic compounds derived therefrom. Experimentally, the 3-step synthesis of a novel 2,2'-propane-2,2-diylbis (4-tert-butyl-1,4-dimethyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazol-5-one and his complex with nickel bromide The key intermediates and the prepared ligand were characterized by NMR spectroscopy, FT-IR spectrometry and high resolution mass spectrometry The prepared nickel bromide complex with 2,2'-propane-2,2-diyl- bis(4-tert-butyl-1,4-dimethyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazol-5-one was characterized by UV-vis spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence analysis, powder X-ray diffraction and microanalysis.
