Active control of terahertz wave electronmagnatically induced transparency via dark mode

Based on the novel structure of cut wire (CW) and split ring resonators (SRRs) with four Silicon materials, we realize the controllable electromagnatically induced transparency (EIT) by manipulating infrared light. In this configuration of metamateriel, we obtain a narrow transparent window by employing infrared light on the Silicon materials. Nevertheless, our device achieves transparency deep by turning off the infrared light. Therefore, our device is the controllable EIT with excitation carriers of semiconductor. In order to analyse our results, we demonstrate the magnetic energy density at the central frequency of the transparent window. According to our numerically results, our device exhibits controllable EIT with higher than 98% modulation depth.
