Limit plastic state of notched solids with properties dependent on the type of external forces

Abstract This work dedicated to the study of the plastic flow of the material with characteristics dependent on the loading conditions. As the alternative to Mises’s criterion, the one with taking into account pressure invariant is considered. The limit states of the stripes with angle cuts under tension in plane strain conditions are analyzed using analytical and numerical methods. Different degrees of limit load sensitivities to the type of loading are demonstrated. The comparative analysis of analytical and numerical results shows that the values of limit loads fall within the range predicted by limit plastic state theorems.
