Irritated Seborrheic Keratosis of the External Auditory Canal which Caused Conductive Hearing Loss

2008
Seborheic keratoses are common superficial benign epithelial lesions of the skin. However, sometimes they can develop into malignant lesions including in situ change, basal cell carcinoma or squamous cell carcinoma. These lesions can be located any-osis of the auricle, which caused conductive hearing loss by obstructing the external auditory meatus. We also reviewed and discuss the etiology, diferential diagnosis and treatment strategy of these benign disfiguring lesions. (Korean J Otorhinolaryngol-Head Neck Surg 2008 ;51 :278-81)
