Insecticidal, acaricidal, or nematocidal composition

PURPOSE: To provide an insecticidal, acaricidal and nematocidal composition containing a specific propenoic acid derivative as an active ingredient and having a knockdown activity against a fly and a mosquito. CONSTITUTION: This insecticidal, acaricidal and nematocidal composition contains a compound of formula I [R 1 to R 3 are each H or an alkyl; further R 2 , R 3 are each a halogen, an alkoxy, OH, a mono- or dialkylamino or COOR 4 , R 2 and R 3 together form a formula II wen they are in adjacent positions on a phenyl ring, and further, R 3 is an (aryl, aralkyl, aryloxy, arylalkenyl) capable of containing a hetero atom, etc.; A 1 , A 2 are each O, S(O)n, NR 7 or NCOR 8 ; (n) is 0, 1; R 4 , R 7 , R 8 are each H or an alkyl; when A 1 is N(CH 3 ), R 2 is allowed to be 2-NO 2 ; any of the above aliphatic part, aryl or heteroaryl part is allowed to have a substituent such as a halogen] as an active ingredient combined with a carrier or a diluent.
