Production of tar dolomite — Magnesite refractories from batch with a maximum particle size of 5 mm

1971
A reduction in the maximum grain size of the dolomite to 5 mm, incorporating dolomite in the batch in the crushed form, increasing the quantity of tar to 5.5–6.5%, and increasing its coking residue all cause an improvement in the quality factors of unfired refractories, and tend to increase their resistance in the linings of oxygen converters.
