Manifestações cutâneas na doença de Crohn: diagnóstico e prognóstico

2020
This article sought to conduct a study on the main cutaneous manifestations of Crohn's disease (CD), characterized as a chronic granulomatous inflammatory bowel disease that presents with intestinal and extraintestinal lesions. Approximately 10% of the patients who have extraintestinal lesions have cutaneous symptoms, with the skin being the place with the highest incidence of such manifestations that affect the patients' quality of life. The diagnosis of Crohn's disease is based on clinical characteristics together with endoscopic and radiological findings, added to the presence of extraintestinal manifestations (MEI). The objective of this study consists of a literature review that aims to address the main cutaneous manifestations in Crohn's Disease (Erythema Nodosum and Pyoderma Gangrenosum), highlighting the importance of early diagnosis and adequate therapeutic management for better quality of life. However, broader studies are needed to demonstrate in detail the convergence between skin lesions and Crohn's disease, in order to promote a multidisciplinary and premature treatment aimed at the integral well-being of patients.
