Frei Otto y el debate sobre la génesis de la forma arquitectónica

2010
The article addresses the polarity between arbitrariness and causality as relevant concepts in the debate about the genesis and the reasons of architectural form. In this context the experience of Frei Otto is presented as an exemplifying contribution. Different issues outline along the text, such as the controversy between digital design and physical experimentation, the relationship between architecture and nature or the debate between naturalism and abstraction, and various theories exploring the internal logic of form are examined, such as those raised by Paul Klee, Iakov Chernijov or Luigi Pareyson.
