The invention relates to a wash bowl. The wash bowl comprises a faucet, a water pipe, an infrared inductor, a controller and a solenoid valve, wherein the solenoid valve is arranged on the water pipe, the controller is connected to the infrared inductor and the solenoid valve, receives induction signals of the infrared inductor and controls the on-off state of the solenoid valve, and then the faucet can be opened or closed. The invention further relates to a dynamic induction method for the wash bowl. According to the dynamic induction method, the infrared inductor detects the dynamic distance repeatedly for detecting the dynamic distance change of an induction object, if the dynamic induction distance exceeds the set vernier distance value, induction is judged to come into effect, then the controller controls the solenoid valve to be opened, and the faucet supplies water. According to the wash bowl and the dynamic induction method for the wash bowl, the problem of induction malfunctions of the wash bowl can be effectively solved, and the use reliability and the stability of the induction type wash bowl can be improved. The wash bowl and the dynamic induction method for the wash bowl are suitable for being applied to public place where interference is strong and environments are complex.
