Radiotherapy for prostate cancer and sexual functioning

The incidence of erectile dysfunction after radiotherapy for prostate cancer is high. A multifactorial aetiology has to be considered, taking into account pretreatment erectile function. Patients need to be informed about effective treatments such as sildenafil and intracavernosal injections.
