Air quality and control measures in Qishan County of Shaanxi

According to the average results of monitoring of the air environment in Qishan every month in 2001and 2002, comparing to Zhougong temple area that is referred to as an excellent district, the air quality of Qishan county is evaluated. The result showing: PM_(10) is the main pollution of this area and it makes the air medium pollution,SO_2 is another important pollution and NO_2 pollutes slightly.In a year,air pollution is very serious in winter and spring.In order to improve the air environment,it is necessary to make urban plan,change the energy structure and adopt the hydrotechniques of cleaning sulphur away, and choose the suitable categry to increase the coverage of vegetation.
