Advance in cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated antigen 4 and human immunodeficiency virus type 1 infection

2018
Cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated antigen 4 (CTLA-4) is an important T cell regulatory factor that regulates T cell function and immune response through negative regulation mechanisms. In the infection of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1), T cell dysfunction and immune response abnormality occur. Therefore, exploring the immune regulation function in host after HIV-1 infection is very required. It is important to know the role of CTLA-4 and its regulation mechanism in HIV-1 infection. Key words: Cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated antigen 4; Human immunodeficiency virus type 1; Infection; Immune regulation
