Search for Majorana Neutrino via \(B_{c}\) Decay Modes

Here we study few lepton-number violating (\(\varDelta L=2\)) decay modes of \(B_{c}\) meson to \({B}_{s}^{0}\ell _{1}^{-}\ell _{2}^{-}\pi ^{+}\), \(J/\psi \ell _{1}^{-}\ell _{2}^{-}\pi ^{+}\), \(\pi ^{+}\ell _{1}^{-}\ell _{2}^{-}\), which can only be induced by a Majorana neutrino. Among the above modes, first one is CKM favoured, hence one can expect to observe this mode with a resonance enhancement of the mediating Majorana neutrino. Other modes while CKM suppressed but phase space enhanced. Even non observations of these decay can be used to obtain tight constraints on the mixing angles of the heavy Majorana neutrino mass eigenstate N, with light flavour neutrinos from upper limits of the branching fractions.
