DyIII‐ and YbIII‐Curcuminoid Compounds: Original Fluorescent Single‐Ion Magnet and Magnetic Near‐IR Luminescent Species

A coordina-tion chemistry approach uses the synergy between metalliccenters and well-thought-out organic arrays that may lead tostable and multifunctional molecular systems. Among theextensive library of organic binders that can be attached tometallic centers, curcuminoid systems (CCMoids) rise asvery attractive molecules. The family of CCMoids includesnatural and synthetic organic species structurally related tocurcumin, CCM (Scheme 1, top).
