Method of increasing the lifetime of a hydro-oxidation.

2002
A method of increasing the lifetime of a hydro-oxidation comprising at least one catalytic metal on a catalyst support, the method comprising contacting the catalyst support hydro-oxidation with an organosilicon compound with hydroxy functionality, a compound of carboxy-functionalized organosilicon, or a mixture of organosilicon compounds hydroxy-functionalized and carboxy functionality, the contacting being conducted before, during or after adding the (the) metal (s) catalyst (s), and optionally one or more promoters in conditions sufficient to increase catalyst lifetime, the catalyst support being selected from the group consisting of amorphous and crystalline silicas; aluminas; metallosilicate; promoter metal silicates; zirconium oxide; metal titanates promoter crystalline and amorphous; and / or oxides of amorphous and crystalline titanium.
