Measurement, by bremsstrahlung transmission, of the polarisation of e+ from μ+ − e+ + νe + νt-μx

1964
The polarization of the positron was measured by observing the transmission through magnetized iron of circularly polarized bremsstrahlung from the positron. The positrons were found to be right-handed with a polarization of 94 plus or minus 38%, in agreement with the prediction of the V-A theory. (D.C.W.)
