Analysis of Ceramic Pattern Case

By analyzing and summarizing a large number of ceramic patterns, the paper introduces a so-called “pattern case” concept. A reusable component is extracted from a pattern, forms a pattern primitive, and is stored in the library of pattern primitives. Such a pattern abstract structure that doesn’t depend on any concrete data is referred to as a “case”. The paper gives a detailed analysis of several common ceramic patterns cases. Our work places a certain theoretical foundation for achieving intelligence of computerized ceramic pattern design.
