Does the survival between elderly and very elderly patients with different malignant primary bone tumours have no difference

2015
Dear Editor, It was with great interest that we read the recent article by Cosker et al. entitled “Surgical outcome of malignant primary bone tumours in elderly and very elderly patients” published in the October edition of International Orthopaedics [1]. Cosker and his colleagues performed a retrospective study to review the clinical course, outcome and survivorship in geriatric patients with primary bone tumours. The authors concluded that there was not an age-dependent restriction for treatment decisions in the geriatric population. Nevertheless, there are several queries and suggestions that we would like to communicate with the authors.
