Intraamniotic 15(s)‐15‐methyl prostaglandin F (2α) and termination of middle and late second‐trimester pregnancy for genetic indications: A contemporaory approach

in polymerase chain reaction molecular probing, and we have found in our preliminary studies that a lot of apparently abnormal sperm, when subjected to polymerase chain reaction molecular assessment are found to be normal. Although they are abnormal in shape and quality, their genetic constitution appears to be normal. That is encouraging news. We strongly encouraged all of our patients who became pregnant to have some kind of genetic assessment, either chorionic villus sampling or amniocentesis. It is obviously up to the couple to decide to do it. We have had six to seven actual births from the underzona insemination patients that I have presented to you. So far all of them have been morphologically and genetically normal. We still have other current pregnancies that appear to be normal in utero.
