LOW DEWSITP LIPOPROTEIN (LDL) FROM THE TRROMBOXANE FORMATION BY HUMAN

1983
LDIJ (0.5 - 2.0 mg LDL-cholesterol/ml) isolated from venous blood of healthy male volunteers stlmulatsd doss-depen&ently the malondialdehyde (MDA) formation by frosen hmmn plafeXet@, used as a marker for the activity of the thromboxane syM@%aee. HDL (0.25 - 1.0 mg HDEcholesterol/ml) and human serum albumin (1 - 10 &ml.) had no concentration-depe@ent influence on the IUDA formation. If these results can be &ended to in vlvo they suggested the atrow connection between the pro&a andin and lipoprotein hypothesis of pathogenesis of atherosc f erosis.
