Atomic Structure of Amorphous PbTiO3, PbFe1/2Nb1/2O3 and PbMg1/3Nb2/3O3: A Comparative X-Ray Diffraction Study

The short-range order in atomic structure of amorphous compounds based on polar dielectrics PbTiO 3 , PbFe 1/2 Nb 1/2 O 3 and PbMg 1/3 Nb 2/3 O 3 with common formula AB′ 1−x B″ x O 3 has been studied by X-ray diffraction experiments. The pair radial distribution functions (RDF) obtained for these materials are very similar. Some differences in the shape of RDFs are related to effective ionic radii of B-cations (B = B′ 1−x B″ x ).
