Secure Data Sharing between Domains in Xen

Currently, virtual machines deployed in the same physical platform in the cloud infrastructure have to transfer data in some situations. However, extant communication mechanism and system implementation in Xen have not take the communication security and data privacy into consideration. This paper proposes a secure data sharing method for the different domains in Xen virtualization environment, and implements a prototype system. Experiments show that the prototype system can prevent untrust domain through the virtual machine introspection method accessing to the communication information, and it is more efficient in data transfer between domains than traditional network transmission.
