Multi-focus Hologram with Fabry-Perot Antenna Based on Coding Metasurface

2019
In this paper, A Fabry-Perot (FP) cavity antenna based on coding metasurface is addressed to realize a four-point focused hologram. A three-layer partial reflection surface (PRS) unit is designed by fixing the reflective phase to generate plane wave and arranging the transmission phase combined with the weight Gerchberg–Saxton (GSW) holographic algorithm to accomplish multi-focus. Four symmetrical focus points are perfectly observed in theory calculation and simulation with the location (±1.3λ, ±1.3λ, 2.5λ) at 27.5GHz operating frequency. This work can be extended for more complex hologram construction and 2-D beam steering applications in the future.
