[Association of IL-1beta gene -31T/C polymorphism with chronic rhinosinusitis].

Objective:To investigate the relationship between polymorphism of IL-1β gene-31T/C and chronic rhinosinusitis.Method:One hundred and twenty-three patients with chronic rhinosinusitis and 239 healthy controls were collected to determine the genotypes by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism.Result:There was significant difference in genotype and allelic frequencies between the CRS and control group(P0.05).-31CC genotype was an independent risk factor with CRS(P0.05,OR=1.639).There was no significant difference in TIgE and ECP among these genptypes(P0.05).Conclusion:IL-1β gene-31CC genotype may be an independent risk factor with chronic rhinosinusitis.
