MPCNL with Asynchronous Spiral CT Localization to Establish Percutaneous Access in the Treatment of Lupper Ureter Stone with Granulation

2009
Objective To evaluate the feasibility, security and the clinical outcomes of minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy(MPCNL) with asynchronous spiral CT localization to establish percutaneous access in the treatment of lupper ureter stone with granulation. Methods 102 cases of unilateral lupper ureter stones with granulation underwent MPCNL with asynchronous spiral CT localization. Results 102 cases established percutaneous access successfully in first operation, and the overall rate of fragmentation for unilateral lupper ureter stones was 100% . The mean operative time was 55min. Mean blood loss was 30mL. No perioperative severe complications such as pneumatothorax, hemorrhoea, ureteral perforation, trauma of abdominal organ occurred. Conclusion M-PCNL with asynchronous spiral CT localization is a convenient, feasible, safe and highly effective therapy for the treatment of lupper ureter stone with granulation.
