Condylomata Acuminata in HIV -Positive Patients: Recent Results of a Prospective Ongoing Study

Condylomata acuminata (anogenital warts) are caused by human papilloma viruses (HPV) of different types [9]. In many patients there is a history of sexual transmission although others are unable to remember a contact with a possible risk. Some patients attend our proctological clinic, run by surgeons, of their own accord; others, mainly with extensive disease, are referred for therapy.
