Method and device for bypass in biolateral symmetry aorta

1993
PURPOSE: To obtain low mortality, short convalescent period, no need to suture a graft to an aorta, use of thrombosis and a present aortic wall to support and reinforce an aortic graft, an appropriate use for a patient having another chronic disease and so on, by setting a tubular member on a catheter to send to the aorta in the tube and fixing the tubular member at the aorta. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a first and a second tubes 160A, 160B and a first and a second extensively deforming tubular members 166A, 166B, two catheters 181A, 181B, and each catheter possesses extensively expansible parts 183A, 183B or a related balloon 184 and a converter 184. After installed to the expansible part 182 of the each catheter 181, the tubular members 166A, 166B are pushed radially outward by the expansion of this part, and contact with an aorta 152 to be fixed to each other. As a result, the tubes 160A, 160B fixed to the tubular members 166A, 166B set a biolateral symmetry path 200 through an abdominal aortic aneurysm 151.
