Ni-based catalysts prepared by sol-deposition method and their application of the hydrogenation of C_9~+ pyrolysis gas

2012
A series of NiO/Al2O3-SiO2 catalysts were prepared by sol-deposition method and characterized by BET,XRD and TPR.The effect of Ni contents, support composition and calcination temperature on the catalyst performance was investigated. The results showed that the surface area and pore diameter of the catalysts were decreased with the increase of Ni contents.NiO/Al2O3-SiO2 catalysts prepared by sol-deposition method had fine dispersion of Ni particles and strong interaction between Ni2+ and the support. There was no NiAl2O4 spinel on the catalyst.Silica-alumina-based catalysts with large surface area [(220-240) m2·g-1] and moderate pore diameter [(8-10) nm] possessed good catalytic properties in hydrogenation of C+9 pyrolysis gas.The hydrogenation conversion of C+9 pyrolysis gas was 90% and aromatic loss was zero. The catalyst exhibited good stability and stong resistance of the colloid.
