Биологическая активность лектинов морских гидробионтов

2007
Biological activity of lectins from marine hydrobionts was investigated for the first time. Lectins from mussel and ascidian inhibit the growth of test-cultures of microorganisms, and probably are the components of immune system of marine organisms. All lectins induce the increase of synthesis of proinflammatory cytokines, however only lectins from mussel and red alga are able to decrease their overexpression during stimulation of cells with lipopolysaccharide.
