Application of Tim technique in the whole spinal MR imaging

2011
Objective To investigate the value of Tim technique in the whole spinal MR imaging. Methods The whole spinal MR imaging was performed in 592 patients suspicion of spinal diseases using Tim technique, and the imaging was obtained by putting sagital and coronal imaging together using composing software. Results The whole sagital or coronal spinal imaging were obtained in all 592 patients to show vertebral body and lesions in continued and perspective model. Conclusion Whole spinal MR imaging using Tim technique can visualize the whole vertebral bodies in one profile, which is convenient to determine the localization of lesions, the relation to the normal tissue and structure around the lesions, and can help to choose treatment modality.
