The invention relates to a vertical deformation performance degradation alarming method of a cable-stayed bridge in an operating state. The method includes the following steps of sensor arranging, monitoring data processing, building of a relevant mathematical model of girder vertical displacement and operational factors in an intact state, determining of the significance level of a control chart, and cable-stayed bridge vertical deformation performance degradation alarming. In the step of sensor arranging, temperature sensors are installed on the top surface of a girder and the bottom surface of the girder at a midspan position of the cable-stayed bridge and used for monitoring the temperature of the top surface of the girder and the temperature of the bottom surface of the girder, and in addition, a vertical acceleration sensor and a vertical displacement sensor are installed on the top surface of the girder at the midspan position of the cable-stayed bridge and used for monitoring the vertical acceleration of the girder and the vertical displacement of the girder; a temperature sensor is installed at the position of the top of a bridge tower of the cable-stayed bridge; a temperature sensor is installed at the position, where the distance between the cable-stayed bridge and the midspan position is shortest, of the middle of the cable-stayed bridge. According to the method, various factors causing vertical displacement changes of the girder of the cable-stayed bridge in the operating state are completely considered, and therefore the real-time performance and the accuracy of cable-stayed bridge girder vertical deformation performance degradation alarming are effectively improved.
