Automatic puzzling and typesetting method

The invention relates to an automatic puzzling and typesetting method, which comprises the following steps: 1) calculating a high level of an appointed rectangular area; 2) according to a weight set by a user, calculating a comprehensive score of all possible puzzle plate types, and obtaining the puzzle plate type with a highest score, wherein the comprehensive score is a weighted average of a high level score, a picture compression ratio and a picture floor space; and 3) according to the puzzle plate type with the highest score, calculating the position and the size of each picture of each puzzle plate type, and carrying out typesetting. The method is an automatic puzzling method free from picture clipping, supports to add any piece of picture of any size within a rectangular layout of any size, and selects the most proper plate type according to a user picture to automatically carry out typesetting.
