transparência ativa dos portais eletrônicos de Institutos Federais do Nordeste
2020
The present study analyzed the level of active transparency in the electronic portals of Federal Institutes (IF) in the Northeast Region investigating whether the quality of the institution and its size were determining factors for a higher level of active transparency in the electronic portals. For the research, an active transparency index of the federal institutes (IIF) was estimated based on the index proposed by Pessoa (2013), through an analysis of the federal institutes home pages in 2018. In addition, a correlation test was performed. Pearson's study between the IIF index and the variables: quality of federal institutes (IGC General Course Index - 2016) and size (number of undergraduate courses and number of enrollments). The results show that, on average, there is a low disclosure of information in the portals of Federal Institutes of the Northeast. Among those who disclose more information, it is observed that the size of the IF presents a positive correlation with a higher level of active transparency in the portals, however, the quality of the courses does not present a statistically significant correlation. Therefore, there is evidence that the size of an IF corroborates the disparity of the active transparency level.
