Non-Thermal Plasma Technique and Its Application in the Field of Environmental Protection

In the last thirty years, non-thermal plasma (NTP) technology has been developed for the envi- ronmental protection, which has been more and more widely used in air pollutants, especially in volatile organic compounds (VOCs), NOx, SO2, etc. This work systematically introduces the me- chanism of producing NTP and eliminating pollutants, and highlights its application to the treat- ment of air pollutants. Furthermore, the influencing factor of treatment efficiency of the NTP and the current research situation of the NTP combined with other technologies are further summa- rized and analyzed. At last, this paper puts forward a promising viewpoint to better use the Non-thermal Plasma technology.
