It is well known that to achieve the rationality of the specific indicators in the supply plan, one must correlate them with the specific indicators of the delivery (sales) plan, reflecting the market demands and expectations directly and objectively. This is an essential condition to perform an efficient commercial activity. This paper exemplifies how to determine the stock size allowing the mentioned correlation in a veterinary pharmacy, considering the expenses it generates. These are included in the cost of products or services, influencing decisively the profitability of the company.
