Novel algorithm for coherence level measurement using R-R interval of ECG signal

In the field of biomedical engineering analysis of (Electrocardiogram) ECG signal is the most studied topic. In ECG signal the RR interval is distinguishable for different physiological state and for each state the coherence level in heart rhythms also different. In this paper a new approach for coherence estimation during different emotional state is proposed. The RR interval from patient ECG signal is calculated and then coherence level is calculated using walch algorithm. In this paper detailed process for R peak calculation as well coherence estimation is discussed. Estimated coherence finds application mainly in heart rate variability investigations and in neurology as well.
